Following the precedent of the 7th CPC (implemented Jan 1, 2016), the 8th Pay Commission is officially set to take effect from January 1, 2026. However, it is important for readers to understand that the revised salary will not likely appear in January paychecks. The 8th CPC panel, headed by Justice (Retd.)
