NEW DELHI: The Department of Posts has officially released the notification for Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-I, January 2026. The descriptive notification (No. 17-37/2025-GDS) confirms the dates for registration and application submission for the posts of BPM, ABPM, and Dak Sevak.
📅 Important Dates (Confirmed)
According to the official letter dated 28.01.2026, the schedule is as follows:
- ✅ Notification Date: January 28, 2026
- ✅ Registration Starts: January 31, 2026
- ✅ Online Application Starts: February 02, 2026
- ✅ Posts: BPM, ABPM, Dak Sevak
Note: The notification will be made live on the official website for registration starting Jan 31st.
2. Eligibility & Salary (As per Rules)
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Education: 10th Standard Pass (Maths & English compulsory).
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 Years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC).
- Skills: Knowledge of Computer, Cycling, and Local Language.
💰 TRCA (Salary Slab)
- BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380
- ABPM/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470
- (Plus Dearness Allowance applicable)
⚠️ Verification Warning (New Rule)
Candidates must give consent for verification of their 10th Marksheet through API Setu (DigiLocker). False details will lead to immediate rejection and legal action as per Annexure-IX of the notification.
