KV Balvatika Admission 2026-27: Age Limit for Balvatika 1, 2, 3 and Official Registration Link

Under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has revolutionized early childhood education with Balvatika. As of January 10, 2026, KVs across India are preparing to invite applications for the 2026-27 session. This program replaces the traditional Nursery, LKG, and UKG formats.
1. KV Balvatika Age Limit (As of March 31, 2026)
Age is the most crucial eligibility factor. As per KVS guidelines, the reckoning date for age is March 31, 2026. Children born on April 1st are also included in the eligibility bracket.

Registration for Balvatika 1 and 3 is typically done online, while Balvatika 2 is often conducted in offline mode depending on seat availability at the local KV.

3. Selection Process & Lottery
Since this is a Central Government school, Priority Category 1 (CG Employees) will get the first preference. Admission is granted via an Online Lottery System. There is no written test or interview for the child or the parent.
