The New Protocol: Documents Required
To claim Family Pension immediately after an employee goes missing, the family must submit the following documents as per the 2026 Notification:

- 1. FIR Copy: “Report lodged by the family with the police” (Item 4).
- 2. Police Report: “Report received by the family from the police” confirming the employee is not yet traced (Item 5).
- 3. Indemnity Bond: An undertaking to refund the amount if the employee reappears.

- No Court Decree Needed: You do NOT need to wait for a court to declare the person “dead” (which takes 7 years) to start the Provisional Pension.
