India Post 2026 Exam Calendar Out: Key Dates for PA/SA, Postman, and Inspector Posts By Our Correspondent | New Delhi | Published: Dec 30, 2025, 23:30 IST NEW DELHI: In a major update for departmental employees and Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS), the Department of Posts has officially released its tentative examination calendar for the year 2026. The schedule outlines the roadmap for departmental promotions and recruitment for key cadres including Postal Assistants (PA), Sorting Assistants (SA), Postmen, and Inspector Posts. The notification, signed by Manoj Sharma, Director (DE), provides much-needed clarity for thousands of aspirants preparing for the Limited Departmental Competitive Examinations (LDCE) and competitive exams for unfilled vacancies. According to the calendar, the first major round of examinations will kick off in late May 2026. Postal Assistant (PA) and Sorting Assistant (SA) Timeline The recruitment process for the cadre of Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants—both for circle office promotion and GDS recruitment—is scheduled for early 2026.
